- We are looking forward to the 2012 Event,set to be bigger and better than ever before. Our Preview event, for all Entrants, is on the 13th of October. It is at this glitzy event that the 2012 Finalists will be announced. We will be holding face to face interviews for those who have made it through to the Finals on the 7th of November. The Judges' final decisions will be made after these. The main event - the 2012 Awards Ceremony - will be held on the 3rd of February 2012 at the Hilton Metropole Hotel, NEC, Birmingham. Places are available now if you want to book ahead. About me Before launching the Midlands Business Awards, I was involved in a number of companies helping them to start up, grow and expand. While running those, I became aware of the need for successful companies to be recognised in the wider environment. I founded the Midlands Business Awards in 2007 and since then it has grown tremendously.
